Description
Morning on a market in a Hamer village Turmi, Omo valley in Southern Ethiopia. A young girl came to the market to buy everyday things. It is very common to see people carrying a small stick in their mouth, which is used for constant brushing of teeth. This girl wears tattoo on her face. The Hamer are one of the biggest tribe in the southern Ethiopia (about 50,000) and they are agropastorialis, cultivating sorghum, vegetables, millet, tobacco, and cotton, rearing cattle and goats, collecting wild honey.
