Uprooted Trees And Beach Erosion After Tropical Cyclone Hits Island Royalty-Free Stock Photography

A sad sight to see, this photograph was taken after a tropical cyclone hit North Stradbroke Island off the south east coast of Queensland, Australia. The large native coastal trees have been totally uprooted and it is clear to see the beach and sand erosion from the rising sea levels and tides exposing the roots of even more trees making them too vulnerable to be lifted out of the ground. The effects of global warming have certainly been felt along the north and south coast of Queensland, Australia with an alarming increase of dramatic, destructive electrical storms and thunderstorms and more cyclones hitting the coastline towns and islands. This also causes flash flooding that affects the inland towns and cities of Queensland from the massive rise in water levels and tides.
