The original Camino Del Rey, El Chorro, Andalucia. #94807334
Description
The Guadalhorce dam was officially opened in 1921 by King Alfonso XIII of Spain and for him to do this, a specially constructed walkway was built, which was known as El Camino del Rey The King`s Path. This walkway was approximately 100m above the water. After many years, the walkway fell into disrepair, with parts of it falling away but this did not deter adventure seekers, who flocked to the area to try and climb across the openings. It became known as the the most dangerous footpath in the world but now, a new walkway, El Caminito del Rey has now opened and is very popular with tourists.
