Brightly lit Cavenagh Bridge is one of the oldest bridges and the only cable-stayed suspension bridge in Singapore, spanning the lower reaches of the Singapore River. Opened in 1870, it was named after William Orfeur Cavenagh, the last India-appointed Governor of the Straits Settlements.
