The memorial stands on the roadside outside the entrance to the church on the thoroughfare through the village at the junction of Lane End and Lower Way It takes the form of a tall Latin Cross made from Portland Stone mounted on a square plinth. It cost ã240 and was first unveiled in March 1920 by Lord Cottesloe; the architects were Messrs. Rattee & Kett Ltd. Details have appeared in the North bucks times & County Observer 13 April 1920 and 27 May 1919. There are 13 names listed for World War 1 and 4 names for World War 2.
