This is a fall picture of the southwest view of the iconic ruins of the Parthenon located on the Acropolis of Athens, Greece. The Parthenon is an example of a peripteral octastyle Doric temple with Ionic architectural features. There are eight Doric columns at either end and seventeen on the sides. It was designed by Ictinos and Callicrates. Constructed started in 447 BC, it was completed 432 BC, and was partially destroyed on September 26, 1687. This picture was taken on October 20, 2017.
