Created by Evergreen Federal Bank,Bear Hotel received its name during the production of Evergreen`s most popular art project called `BearFest.` Through BearFest 182 fiberglass bears created by 85 artists have been displayed in downtown Grants Pass. Nearly half of the bears created have been auctioned to raise over $250,000 for local nonprofits. When not on the streets during the summer season, the bears hibernate at the Bear Hotel as part of Evergreen`s permanent art collection.
