Revolutionary War Cannon Stock Photography

This is a four pound British cannon typical of those in use during the Revolutionary War. Each cannon was manned by two gunners, six soldiers, and four artillery officers. Prior to firing, the cannon was wet sponged to remove dirt and filth. Powder was then added with a wad of paper or hay. The last step was setting the elevation and placing the fuse.
