Description
The tunnel, harbor and estancia stay located east of Ushuaia, on the banks of the Beagle Channel. In its beginnings, a barrel factory operated there, which motivated its denomination. Subsequently, the area was leased to the State by the Beban family, who installed a sawmill in 1917, which had a good profitability for several years. Finally, it was acquired by Saturnino Pastoriza. Today remains the remains of the main house, and one of the sheds. It is possible to access on foot or bicycle through a path of about 6 km that begins at the Piscicultura station beginning of the provincial route Nú30.
