Colorful mountain range. National natural park Altyn-Emel. Kazakhstan. #104807629
Description
The nature reserve Altyn Emel & x28;translated from the Kazakh - a golden saddle& x29; has the mountains of Ak Tau & x28;translation from the Kazakh - white mountains& x29;, which are composed of sediments of the Cenozoic. This is the most fantastic and picturesque place in its landscapes in the national park. The former bottom of the ancient sea, with the disappearance of the sea, nature has created here the most beautiful canyons and canyons of sheer walls, composed of multicolored layers of rocks: from green and red at the bottom to bright yellow, pink and white in the upper. Once upon a time, when there were still dinosaurs on the Earth, this place was the bottom of the ancient Tethys ocean. Powerful sea currents joined and intertwined with each other, dropping to the bottom a tolerable terrestrial rock of various composition and density. The ocean had long since retreated; time, water and wind washed and weathered the weak rocks, giving everyone a look at the bizarre creations of nature in the form of fairy-tale figures and compositions.
