The salt marsh, tidal creeks, salt pannes, ponds, Saw Palmetto, and forests are habitat for waterfowl, shorebirds, wading birds, raptors, neo-tropical migrants, white-tailed deer and American alligators, with large concentrations of white ibis, herons, and egrets.
