The water gate consists of a corner tower and a gatehouse. The land gate consists of two towers connected by a gate arch. This historic, medieval, building was built at the end of the fourteenth, early fifteenth century as part of the second city wall. Above the water gate is a Machicolation, which today has apparently become a pigeon loft. The disadvantage of pigeons in the city is that they pollute historic buildings with their droppings. This architectural showpiece is alandmark, cultural heritage site, national monument and tourist attraction.
