Description
Sullivanville Dam, New York State in the Southern Tier Region has a hiking trail, featuring access to the 20-acre lake, three successions of forest and a visible glacial plate. The earthen dam is 70 feet high, 450-feet wide, and 2,400-feet long with a 26-acre surface area. It reduced the risk of flooding in Horseheads and the east side of Elmira by an estimated 80 percent.
