Located on the north side of High Street, this 11th-century church served as the center from which the city of Oxford grew and its parish consists almost exclusively of university and college buildings. In the early days of Oxford University, the church was adopted as the first building of the university. The religious site stands out for its Baroque entrance and spire and its tower is one of the best lookout points in the district.
