Well at Boggsville on Santa Fe Trail #107929690
Description
Boggsville was a small community started in 1862 just off the Santa Fe Trail. Settled along the confluence of the Arkansas and Purgatoire Rivers, it was not far from Bent`s Old Fort. In fact the founder of Boggsville was William Bent`s son-in-law, Thomas Boggs. Pictured here is the old well. It was here that Kit Carson joined his friends to settle down as a farmer, toward the end of his life.
