This image shows a Native American grinding stone holes or morteros which were used by the Serrano Native American tribe in centuries past to grind nuts and food in the San Bernardino National forest in Southern California. They are accessible by walking a short hiking trail through the forest. The morteros are filled with rain water from a recent Autumn rain. Pine trees are reflected in the water in the hole. There are many brown fallen leaves in the background. The image could represent ancient culture, history, forest trails, hiking outdoors, autumn and fall.
