Pictured is the Catching Fish mural, one of the wall murals of the 42 murals project in Deep Ellum Texas. It was painted by Dan Colcer,a Romanian artist born in Hunedoara/Transylvania and living in Dallas since 2008. 42 Murals provides an opportunity for local, national, and international artists to showcase their talent through murals painted on many of the historic buildings in Deep Ellum. It was the brainchild of Scott Rohrman, the owner of 42 Real Estate, which since 2012 has bought 39 properties in Deep Ellum. Deep Ellum has a long history as a cultural epicenter for the arts, especially encouraging innovative expression and development in music and visual arts.
