Wall Art Featuring Spector 45 In Deep Ellum, Dallas, Texas Editorial Image

Pictured is a wall mural featuring the greaser punk band Sector 45 in Frank Campagna`s music series in Deep Ellum. The front man for the band was Frankie Campagna, Frank`s son who committed suicide at age 24 on January 1st, 2011. It was painted by Frank Campagna, owner of the Kettle Art Gallery and known as the godfather of Deep Ellum. He`s painted wall murals there since 1989. Deep Ellum is a neighborhood composed largely of arts and entertainment venues near downtown in East Dallas, Texas. Deep Ellum developed in the late 19th century as a residential and commercial neighborhood. It is known for being a hotbed of graffiti. Also a large portion of the art and murals in the area are commissioned by local businesses.
