This is a Winter picture of a giant astronaut holding a rocket located in Wilmington, Illinois in Will Coumty. This 30 foot tall fiberglass man first appeared in front of a local restaurant in 1965. This is the reuse of a popular figure known as the “Muffler Man” that was used nationwide to advertisement for a Muffler company. This figure was listed on Atlas Obscura 222 Cool things in Illinois 148. This picture was taken on March 3, 2018.
