Description
This is a Winter picture of the iconic two-celled jail located in Gardner, Illinois in Grundy County. This very small limestone building consists of two small cells that feature a cot and a bucket in each cell, other then the cells there is only room for a small desk and chair. This Jail was built in 1906 and would be used by the village until the mid-1950ââ¬â¢s. This structure is listed on the Atlas Obscura List Of 222 Cool things in Illinois, 139.
