Victory Park on Poklonnaya Gora is one of the largest memorial complexes in Russia and in the world, with an area of 135 hectares, dedicated to the victory in the great Patriotic war. The Park is located in the Western administrative district of Moscow. It was opened on may 9, 1995 to the 50th anniversary of the great Victory. The Central Museum of the great Patriotic war of 1941-1945 abbreviated as the Victory Museum is the main object of the Victory memorial Park. The Museum is located on the square of Victors. One of the main relics of the Museum is the Soviet Victory Banner, hoisted on April 30, 1945 over the Reichstag in Berlin. The exposition of the Museum continues outdoors in the Park, where samples of military equipment are presented. In front of the Museum on the square of Victors threr is a memorial Eternal flame and the highest russian monument - Victory Monument with height of 141,8 meters. This figure reminds of 1418 days and nights of the great Patriotic war. A bronze figure of the goddess of victory Niki with two angels is fixed on the 100-meter mark. At the foot of the obelisk on the granite podium there is a statue of St. George the victorious, who strikes the snake with a spear. Both sculptures were created by Zurab Tsereteli. Monument `Fronts and Navies of the second World War of 1941-1945` is a colonnade of 15 commemorative steles, symbolizing the contribution to the victory of 10 fronts of the second World War.
