The meeting was held as part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of March `68. The debate was preceded by the speech of the President of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Poland - Mateusz Morawiecki. the participants of the debate were: prof. dr hab. Jerzy Eisler, director of the Department of the Institute of National Remembrance in Warsaw, Mateusz Fałkowski, Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences, dr hab. Dariusz Gawin, deputy director of the Warsaw Uprising Museum, Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Irena Lasota, president of the Institute for Democracy in Eastern Europe, prof. dr hab. Wojciech Roszkowski, Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences The debate ended with the speech of the Vice-President of the Council of Ministers, Minister of Science and Higher Education - Jaroslaw Gowin. The participants of the debate discussed the phenomenon and essence of the events related to March `68 - ranging from speeches against censorship, through student protests, to the anti-Semitic campaign launched by the communist authorities. What were the effects of March `68, what are they now, what has happened in Warsaw, but also throughout the country, taking into account the international background, are the main topics of the discussion.
