President William McKinley monument, 2. #113044358
Description
The 25th president of the United States, William McKinley was also the last president to have served during the Civil War, having also been the only one to enlist. Both during his time and historically, his time as president was considered very successful, despite having been assassinated shortly after starting his second term. His successor, Theodore Roosevelt quickly over shadowed him. This monument dedicated to him stands at the very tip of the Golden Gate Park Panhandle.
