Title
A Wells Fargo U.S. Mail concord Coach. #
Description
The name of the Concord Coach is in reference to the name of the town in New Hampshire where they were built. It was congress authorized in 1857 that the Postmaster was able to contract the use of stagecoaches to bring mail across land to points west, as opposed to ship transport down and back up the Gulf of Mexico.
