Description

Arbor, 10-20 meters tall, breast height 20-60 cm, bark longitudinal crack, flake off, branches and leaves are hairless. Is a genus of Fagaceae, cone trees, up to 20 meters high, 60 cm diameter. The branches are red and purple, and their leaf shape, texture and size are all similar to those of taps. Male flowers are mostly conical inflorescences with dark red brown powder wax scales, bracts scaly, round or wide oval shaped mature shell, usually full of nuts, thick shell wall, often curly lobed; nuts round or oval shaped, fruit navel at the bottom of nuts, 4-6 months of flowering, 10-12 months.
