The Extremely Unique Castro Street. Editorial Photo

This Queen Anne house was originally built on the lot at 709 Castro Street, in 1897, by home builder Fernando Nelson, to serve as a model showpiece for additional new homes he could build. The family that eventually bought the house had it moved to its current lot, and a seven car garage was added. Unfortunately, when the building was moved, it was very poorly done, to the point, the garages now have to be closed, as the insides had to be redone just to help support the house itself.
