Description
This is a Spring picture of an urn from the Rotunda of the Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina neighborhood of San Francisco, California. The structure was designed by The architects William Gladstone Merchant and Bernard Maybeck, it is an example of Beaux-Arts architecture, it was built in 1915 for the Panama-Pacific Exposition, it was not constructed as a permanent structure, it was completely rebuilt in 1965. This iconic structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 5, 2005. This picture was taken on April 19, 2018.
