Description
It is the most beautiful and showy parrot in tropical America and the largest parrot in the tropics. It is a large climbing bird. There are 6 genera and 17 species. With a pair of toe feet, each foot has 4 toes 2 before 2. The parrot`s tail is long and looks like a sickle like beak. Fruit is eaten with a large amount of food. A powerful beak can peck the nuts and suck the flesh out of the tongue. The face is featherless, and is changed to red when excited. The appearance of the sexes is similar.
