Title
McGraw Tower or Clock Tower facade at Cornell University #116039438
Description
Second Empire buildings often had horizontal stripes of color in their shingles, and used square or round towers with peaked roofs to create focal points in the facade, both of which can be seen in McGraw Hall. The gray stone used in their facades is very local, quarried from the same hill they are built on top of.
