This is a Spring picture of the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry south porch as seen through blossom in trees located in the Jackson Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois in Cook County. This example of a Beaux Arts Architecture was designed by Charles B. Atwood to serve as the Palace of Fine Arts during the 1893 Worldââ¬â¢s Columbian Exposition. After the fair the structure would house the Natural Histoey Museum until itââ¬â¢s permanent home was constructed. After sitting empty for a few years the building was renovated to serve as the Museum of Science and Industry starting in 1933 as part of the Century of zprogress Exposition. The building was declared a Chicago Landmark on November 1, 1995. This picture was taken on zmay 9, 2018.
