Details from the Old Rathaus / Town Hall in Bremen`s Marktplatz #116492238
Description
Bremen`s old Town Hall Das alte Rathaus is located in the Marktplatz in Bremen. The Rathaus was originally built from 1405-1412, and it is now named a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the Roland Statue in front not pictured. The outside of the building is built in a Renaissance style of architecture. On the opposite side of the lower town hall, are two heralds on horseback. The equestrian statues were built by the sculptor Rudolf Maison, who presented them at the 1900 World Fair in Paris. They came to Bremen through the donation of the banker John Harjes, who had bought the bronzes.
