Maria Radna Franciscan Monastery - Lipova, Arad, Romania Stock Image

St. Mary`s Radna Monastery is located in the city of Lipova, Arad, Romania. It belongs to the Franciscan cult and is the main pilgrimage site of the Diocese of Timisoara. In 1992 Pope John Paul II gave the monastery the title of the minor basilica. The monumental ensemble consists of the actual church and three other buildings, all the historical and architectural monuments from the 18th and 19th centuries
