Independence Day and Freedom of the USA #116735749
Description
Independence Day Independence Day is considered the birthday of the United States as a free and independent country. Most Americans call this holiday simply by its date - Fourth of July. Officially it is considered that on July 4, 1776, Congress approved the Declaration of Independence, which was signed the same day by the President of the Second Continental Congress John Hancock and Secretary of the Continental Congress Charles Thomson. Although, for example, according to the same Wikipedia, there is a rather popular theory that the Declaration was signed only a month after its adoption, that is, August 2, 1776, and not July 4, as is commonly believed.
