Chongqing, abbreviated as 渝 or 巴, is the only municipality in the central and western part of the People`s Republic of China, a national center city, a megacity, an international metropolis, and an economic, financial, scientific, shipping and trade logistics center in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River.
