Description
Bauhinia: deciduous trees; lateral or terminal racemes of racemes, very short shrunk, few flowers, short of gray pubescence; large, near sessile; flower buds; flowering year, March, the most prosperous. It is produced in the southern part of China. India and Central South Peninsula are distributed. Flowers are beautiful and slightly fragrant, long flowering and fast growing. They are widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical areas for their good ornamental and nectar source plants.
