Poppy fields in the Czech Republic. Ornamental poppies have exceptional charisma.The poppy is spread throughout Europe except the northernmost, Asia Minor, North Africa. It was also brought to North America, Australia and New Zealand. On the Czech territory we find it abundantly in field cultures, rums, eels, weeds and other exposed soils, especially in warmer areas from lowlands to foothills. You are blooming from May to August, in warm weather until October.
