Description
Luoyang Folklore Museum: a special museum in China. It is located at the south end of the new street in Luoyang. It is built on the basis of the ancient architectural complex of Luze guild hall, a national key cultural relic protection unit. Luze guild hall was built for nine years (1744) of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty because of the sacrifice of Guan Yu, also known as Guan Yu Temple. The existing dance buildings, Bell Tower and Drum Tower, houses, gallery rooms, main hall, back hall, and hall are a group of ancient buildings with rigorous structure and unique style. It was built in 1981 as the Museum of western Henan, and changed to the Luoyang Folk Museum in 1987.
