Description
The clock tower was built by Luca Fancelli in 1472; in 1473 Bartolomeo Manfredi made its famous astronomic clock, which tells the phases of the moon, the days when to do given activities, and finally the position of the sun in the zodiac. A statue of the Immaculate Mary was put in the niche beneath the clock face in 1639.
