Netherlands, province Friesland, Leeuwarden city: along the Wilhelmina Square is situated the new wing of the Fries Museum. This modern architecture was built by the architect Hubert Jan Henket and opened in 2013. On the town square, in front of this contemporary building youngsters love to spend their free time. Youth are busy with bicycles, scooter, roller skating, skates, or cozy hangout for socializing. Especially on a sunny, warm day in spring they go there to enjoy the sun and social contacts. The name and logo of the museum is on the facade. Leeuwarden is proclaimed, appointed cultural capital of Europe in 2018.
