Many of San Francisco`s steps have very beautiful mosaics added to the steps which add to the enjoyment of ascending their steeps steps. There are 332 steps along the way, and many of the locals regularly run up and down, round-trip, because it is such an enjoyable experience along these steps. Nested right in one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the whole country, and right adjacent to the Presidio, not only do you get to enjoy the domed Palace of Fine Arts; Bay of San Francisco and hills of Marin further back, but the well manicured lawns along the way.
