The Japanese pagoda tree, Sophora japonica is a popular tree due to its late flowering, late in the summer, when most of the other flowering trees have already finished blooming. In September bloom, and seeds ripen in November. It grows up to 20 m high and has rapid growth. The wood is extremely powerful.
