Title
Klamath ferryboat propellers now at Aquatic Park. #118374393
Description
The Klamath ferryboat was built in San Francisco in 1925 to serve the Souther Pacific Railroad ferrying cars. By 1964, the boat part was bought by an advertising agency. The ferry propellers as seen here, show deferent signs of cavitation - caused by the rotation of propellers producing bubbles that grow and finally collapse. Imploding on the propellers the bubbles cause too much stress.
