Spirit OF The Cypress #118585032
Description
This image was composed in the Florida wilds at Mantansas State Park in Florida. I was walking along the shoreline of the Intra-coastal Waterway and spied some toppled Cypress trees with their roots exposed and in view. Today was a black and white film day and I was looking for grainy wood to expose textures. These trees Cypress have very large root structures so a full frame of the roots took up each image. Much to my surprise when I developed the film this image of a woman was in the lower left quad of the negative. I used an enlarger crop her and Brilliant photo paper to expose her on in Sepia tone. So here she sits today acknowledged by very few. Truly a rare capture of Natures spirituality in our lives today and forever. `The Spirit of The Cypress` her roots long returned to Nature in decomposition.
