At 14:28 on May 12, 2008, a magnitude 8 earthquake occurred in Wenchuan, China. The strong earthquake caused great losses to the Middle School of the swirling mouth of the epicenter. The current whirlpool middle school is the combination of the original Xuan Kou middle school and Yingxiu middle school, collectively referred to as "Xuan Kou middle school".
