Like Chinatowns in other major cities around the world, Viet Names neighborhoods use dragon guardians for much the same reason. Officially, Little Saigon in the Tenderloin neighborhood is only two blocks, but has been expanding. To recognize the Viet Names district and cultural significance to the city of San Francisco, this pair of guardian dragons was placed at the official section, at Turk and Eddy Streets, by the city.
