Description
The Warsaw Barbican was erected around 1548 as part of the walls defense. It was built in the Renaissance style of red brick in the form of a two-storey bastei crossing. As a result of the development of artillery, it never met a more serious defensive function. Currently, it attracts crowds of tourists visiting the Warsaw Old Town.
