Description
The meadow of the little Viking Church that Eric the Red`s uncle, Thorkell Farsekur built for his farming settlement community in Hvalsey Fjord, near Qaqortoq in Greenland Nunavut. He came here in the 14th century and with the help of Scottish Vikings erected the little church and homesteads. On September 14th 1408, Thorstein Olafsson and Sigrid Bjornsdottir were married here. The little blue flowers are Harebells Campanula rotundifolia.
