Title
17th and Folsom Streets the lowest point in San Francisco, 2. #119737715
Description
San Francisco has an average elevation of 52 feet, which is not all that much, unless you are in an area below that, especially after a heavy rain. The intersection of Folsom and 17th Streets, where the Mission Creek used to run through, is right at sea level. So when it rains, and especially after a heavy rain, all that water runoff spirals down all to one area, and even with the storm drains it is never enough. This leaves the residents and merchants in this immediate area constantly getting floods after the rains. And the city gets complaints from the merchants and residents.
