The Devil`s Kitchen in Cwm Idwal, Wales, Britain #119941102
Description
This amphitheatre of rock carved by a glacier lies between two peaks in Snowdonia, both over 3,000 feet high. The cliffs still have primitive plants which have survived from the last Ice Age and so the area is of immense scientific interest. The rock walls provide excellent climbing opportunities. Cwm Idwal has a lake of the same name. It drains via a series of cascades down into the Nant Ffrancon Pass and the to the sea at the Menai Straits opposite the Isle of Anglesey.
