In Taino, it was said to mean either a roll of tobacco leaves & x28;according toàBartolomé de las Casas, 1552& x29; or toàtabago, a kind of Y-shaped pipe used for sniffing tobacco smoke & x28;according to Oviedo; with the leaves themselves being referred to asàcohib[4][5] However, perhaps coincidentally, similar words in Spanish, Portuguese and Italian were used from 1410 to define medicinalàherbsbelieved to have originated from the Arabicà÷ÃÂèÃâçÃâàá¹ÂubbÃÂq;alsoà÷ÃÂèçÃâàá¹ÂubÃÂq;, a word reportedly dating to the 9th century
